Tonieboxes & Tonie Figures + Yoto Players and Yoto Cards
The Ramsey Library offers these two unique collections for kids and tweens: Tonie boxes and figures + Yoto players and cards. Both are available to borrow from our library for free.
Tonie Boxes and Figures?
Tonieboxes are digital audio book players for kids with no screens. The players use Tonies or character figurines, which when placed on the Toniebox, will play stories, songs and more. The library loans out both the Toniebox player as well as the individual Tonies / stories.
These are packaged as kits for borrowing from the Ramsey Library. We have several kits available, including: Disney Princesses, Pixar and Disney, Classic Children’s Story Characters and National Geographic. Each kit includes the Toniebox (player) and the figures (stories). All of these kits are available to borrow through our Library of Things. Search through the catalog for Toniebox, select the kit you want and place a reservation for an available day to pick up!
Yoto Players and Cards?
Yoto Players are a screen-free smart audio player. They allow children and tweens to engage in reading in an audiobook format independently by inserting a Yoto Card into the player to listen aloud or with headphones. Yoto Players have simple controls for ease of use. These are similar to Tonieboxes, but use a card based system for playing stories instead of a figurine.
The library offers these to borrow in two different formats:
Yoto Players
You can borrow a Yoto Player by itself from our Library of Things collection. This you can reserve for a specific date to pick up and borrow for a two week period.
Yoto Cards
You can borrow individual cards or bundles of cards from the library with your library card. We have these cards available to borrow on a first come, first serve basis in the Children’s Room. Unfortunately, we do not have these in our online catalog at this time, so we cannot guarantee that specific cards or bundles are available. Stop by the children’s room and browse available cards to borrow at that time.
