Ramsey Public Library Homebound Delivery Service
The Ramsey Library is pleased to offer homebound services free of charge to Ramsey Library resident card holders who are temporarily or permanently unable to travel to the Library due to a disability.
Homebound Delivery: How it Works and Eligibility
Eligibility:
This service is available for Ramsey residents only with a Ramsey Library Card. For this service, “Homebound” is defined as someone who, because of a physical or mental disability, is unable to visit the Library, and does not have someone who can pick up/deliver materials to them on a regular basis. The inability to use the library in person may be of a permanent or temporary nature. People with a short term need for homebound library service will be eligible for consideration.
How It Works:
Complete our Homebound Delivery Service Application (see below for details)
Work with our Homebound Delivery Coordinator (Julie Moya) to select items for Homebound Delivery.
The library will checkout the items on your account and then mail items directly to you using special Ramsey Library Delivery bags. Postage for sending and returning is paid for by the library.
Once you are finished with the items you have borrowed, you will simply turn over the postage card on the delivery bag for return postage and leave for your regular USPS mail carrier.
Once the items are returned to the library, they will be checked in and taken off of your account.
You can the request a new set of items to be mailed to you.
